Prosecutors from Across the Country Attend Prosecutors’ Center for Excellence National Meeting in Minneapolis

Prosecutorial leaders from 22 states joined the 10th national best practices meeting lead by the Prosecutors’ Center for Excellence (PCE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. PCE’s mission is to work with prosecutors to improve the criminal justice system, to address emerging issues and to support statewide best practices committees for prosecutors. Twenty prosecutor-led statewide best practices committees have been created around the country, with more under consideration. The focus of the day and a half summit was to share ideas and to discuss best practices that can enhance the criminal justice system.

Prosecutors from 26 States Attend Prosecutors’ Center for Excellence National Meeting

[WASHINGTON DC] – On February 2, 2017, prosecutors from 26 states and the District of Columbia came together at a meeting led by Prosecutors’ Center for Excellence to discuss prosecutor protocols for investigating police use of force cases, ethics policies and eyewitness identification procedures.  Prosecutors’ Center for Excellence is a think tank that provides policy advice to prosecutors working to improve the criminal justice system and supports the establishment of statewide prosecutor-led best practices committees.

Prosecutors from 17 States Meet in Boston for Prosecutors’ Center for Excellence National Meeting of Statewide Best Practices Committees

[BOSTON, MA] – On July 19 and 20, 2016, Prosecutors’ Center for Excellence (PCE) led prosecutors from 17 states in a national meeting of statewide Best Practices Committees.  These committees are non-partisan bodies of prosecutors that include elected and senior prosecutors from urban, suburban, and rural districts throughout a state.  The committees serve as think tanks that examine information on the latest developments in criminal justice and community safety.  Their mission is to improve the criminal justice system and to address emerging issues.

The main topics of this meeting were ethics and “how to implement community programs on a shoestring?”
