Gaelin is a Trial Attorney in the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section (CCIPS) of the Department of Justice’s Criminal Division. Most recently, Gaelin has been prosecuting violent crime in the Violence Reduction and Trafficking Offenses Section of the D.C. United States Attorney’s Office. Before and during law school Gaelin was a Digital Evidence Analyst at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office in their Trial Division. Gaelin frequently testified in grand jury presentations and trials in New York Supreme Court and assisted with the investigation and prosecution of wide-ranging criminal offenses, including homicides, violent crime, sex crimes, and white-collar crime. Gaelin received her B.A. in Criminology and Data Analytics with a minor in Computer Science from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study and her Juris Doctor from NYU Law School.
