The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office has teamed up with the Morris County Superior Court and the Morris County Sherriff’s Department to promote Community Connections, a collaborative program that provides wrap around services to court involved individuals.
Anyone with an open court case, including family and civil law cases, can apply for services through Community Connections in order to get help applying for federal social service programs like TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) and SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and obtaining medical care, mental health treatment, housing, identification cards, and addiction recovery. Community Connections uses a comprehensive assessment tool to screen for necessary services. They have had numerous success stories from those who have utilized the system.
