New PCE Report on Conviction Review Units (CRUs)
An essential part of a prosecutor’s work is uncovering actual innocence through conviction review. PCE has developed a roadmap for offices of any size seeking to implement or enhance a Conviction Review Unit or a conviction review process.
Through interviews with current and former prosecutors as well as research into CRU literature and existing best practices, PCE’s CRU Guide provides an overview of the types of conviction review that prosecutors participate in as well as practical guidance on CRU implementation.
