Population: 91,678 | Number of Full-Time Prosecutors: 13 | Contact Information
Through funding from Innovative Prosecution Solutions, the Rockdale County District Attorney’s Office (RCDA) developed a comprehensive homicide initiative to reduce domestic violence killings. The RCDA has created a Domestic Violence Response Team of victim advocates, law enforcement officers, and prosecutors that meet monthly to identify and target high risk offenders.
RCDA is also strengthening collaboration and providing training to probation, parole, and law enforcement agencies, so they too can preemptively identify high-risk individuals and provide enhanced services to victims of potentially lethal offenders. These measures are intended to improve investigation and prosecution of domestic violence crimes, reduce domestic violence recidivism, and prevent future homicides while focusing on offender accountability.
